apparently ruled out a missing girl from TX.

"The remains) are that of a young, white female, between the ages of 12 and 16," Kelly said. "She was less than five foot, four inches tall, with long, thick brown hair. She also appeared to have braces on her upper teeth with pink rubber bands"

"remains appeared to have been in the location where they were found between three weeks and six months."

This is sad :( I havent had the time yet to help look into this one yet, I hope later tonight....

Thanks glezell for making a thread on her......

I have been slowly wading through cases, starting in LA and working my way out. I have only searched more recent cases but I will keep plugging away.

Melissa Franchesca Fischer appears to have braces on her teeth, although it is not mentioned on her info page.

Nothing to indicate that she would end up in Louisiana from Washington State.

So now the question now is -- Which Texas girl was ruled out?

Tanya Mata or Alexandria Lowitzer?

The body found could have been a girl reported as a runaway a year or 2 ago. She could be from another state.

But Manhein said they were able to determine from the victim's dental records that she had a gap in her smile.

"That's a real identifier," she said. "Because she has such good dental work, we can tell she was well taken care of."

If the victim is not identified within the next few weeks, Manhein said the team will conduct DNA tests on the remains and enter them into a national online DNA database for all missing persons and unidentified remains.

Okay here's a girl I found missing from NC since 6/28/10. It is believed she could have went to LA, Texas or Florida.. Height might be a little off, she is 17 when she went missing, and can't tell from the picture if she had braces.. Her hair is long and brown. http://www.nampn.org/cases/manuel_faith_carolyn.html

In the News Star article that glezell posted, it states the UID was missing a right upper canine, so she would have had a noticeable gap in her teeth.

There was no connection after all. I received a very nice reply from Lt. Tim Cornelius of the Coconino County, Arizona Sheriff's Office after I emailed his department regarding the two gray/silver 2001 Kia Spectra sedans.

Thank you so much for your e-mail, our lead detective on this case has contacted the Delray Police Department. He learned their victim and vehicle are not connected to our case.
Again thank you for putting two and two together and thinking of our case. It is people like you who help solve crimes and find missing people.
