It does look very close. The parting of his hair is even on the right side.

Weird place for a guy from Phoenix to end up, but the timeline allows for it.

Edward DuBarry looks pretty good on the specs and even the circumstances. The beard is throwing me off on whether the face matches, however.

Lloyd Gilsdorf has been ruled out. a total of 3 on the list.

Side by side -- the angle's different so it's hard to say.

Thanks. I thought the second of the three Charley photos looked most like the reconstruction.

I picked that one because it's the closest to the same facial angle. Here are the other two, with the reconstruction in the middle.

On second thought, this is probably not DuBarry as both he and the UID have DNA available.

Lloyd Gilsdorf has been ruled out. a total of 3 on the list.

There aren't any new ruleouts. I think it's worth submitting both Newman and Dubarry even with the negatives against them. It seems likely that something is off with the demographics and circumstances...

Daily Comet Article - 04/08/16

http://www.dailycomet.com/entertain...dentified-body-in-lafourche-remains-a-mystery

Known, for now, only as LSU 84-10, the man thought to be between 26 and 36-years-old is the lone unidentified body on record with the federal government in Lafourche Parish. He remains as much a mystery today as he was when found on Oct. 12, 1984, in a swampy area near Thibodaux.

The body had no hands, no clothing, few teeth, no hair. Investigators estimated it had been exposed to the elements for at least a month, maybe six months, if not more

They know he wasn't Lloyd Gilsdorf, who was 31-years-old when he disappeared from Pensacola, Fla., on July 29, 1984 and was reported missing almost six months later, not to be seen again.

He's also not Gary Kergan, who was a 29-year-old businessman from Crowley last seen leaving the Night Spot Lounge on Plank Road in Baton Rouge in 1984.

Kergan still hasn't been found, even though 67-year-old Ronald Dunnagan and 50-year-old Leila Mulla are serving prison time for his death.

LSU 84-10 also isn't Paul Alan Vogen, a 29-year-old who friends reported had talked of committing suicide and went missing Nov. 9, 1983 from Phoenix. he also hasn't been found

What is known about the mystery man in Lafourche Parish is he stood about 5-feet, 6-inches tall and was white. Beyond that and an estimated age, there is very little information to be had. However the man got into the swampy area near Thibodaux, he didn't leave much of a story behind to be found easily.

This is a big-time stab in the dark, also a bit of a reach, perhaps, but how about Lester Rome (Lester J. Rome – The Charley Project)? His age is very much off the estimate (57 y/o vs. the 26-37 estimated for this Doe), but the circumstances seem to line up decently. An older post on White Pine John Doe's thread sheds a bit more light on Rome's case:

"I e-mailed the Jefferson County Parish Sheriff's Office several months ago, and was told the following about Lester Rome --

A review of the report indicates that Lester's vehicle was found in Lafourche Parish.
The vehicle had been burned. We do have a suspect in this case and believe Lester
never made it out of Louisiana. DNA was obtained from Lester's brother and is on file
in CODIS."

Lester went missing in January of 1984, and this Doe was found in October of 1984; considering the estimated post-mortem interval, it matches up rather nicely. Plus, this Doe was found in Lafourche Parish, where Lester's car was found burned.

I can't say I see an immense amount of resemblance between the reconstruction and Lester's photo, though. Plus, both Lester and this Doe have DNA available, so perhaps this connection has been ruled out by default before all this.
