November 5, 2010 6:22 AM

YORKVILLE, Ill. (STMW) – A west suburban Montgomery man is facing between 12 and 90 years in prison for sexually assaulting and breaking the leg of a 3-month-old girl, the Kendall County state’s attorney’s office said Thursday.

Joe Harvey, 28, of Marnel Road in Montgomery, was convicted of predatory criminal sexual assault, aggravated battery of a child and aggravated criminal sexual abuse after a three-day trial this week, prosecutors said.

I heard this on the news today and I couldn't believe it. 90 years is just not enough.

Joe Harvey was sentenced to a 25-year sentence for predatory criminal sexual assault and a 10 year sentence for conviction for aggravated battery of a child.
The aggravated battery of a child conviction was later overturned. Harvey had admitted sexually assaulting the 4 month old baby girl, but the state failed to prove that it was him who fractured her leg.

I totally agree, as long as he's breathing the sentence is not adequate for his crime. IMO
