Going a little further afield...it would be nice to help out on this.

MANILA, Philippines - Britain's embassy in Manila on Tuesday appealed for information to help find a businesswoman who disappeared two months ago during a business trip to the Philippines.

Carole Day, a strawberry-blonde 56-year-old and a frequent visitor to the country, was last seen on September 12, by an acquaintance at a shop in Manila's Makati financial district, the mission said in a public appeal.

The Hong Kong-based woman's family is offering a reward for information leading to her return, the embassy said.

This woman has simply vanished. Her two sons, 25 and 21 years old are searching for her. Their father, a judge, died 6 years ago. Can we help them out? I can't imagine what they are going through.

Do we have any WS folks on here that are familiar with the Philippines in any way?

Carole Day was a frequent visitor to the Philippines. She was into furniture/interior decorations and sourced most of her products in the Philippines. She used a showroom in Makati for this purpose. On Sept. 12, after wrapping up business transactions with her Filipino partners, she said she was due to leave for Cebu and Phuket, Thailand. She was not heard of since then. However, immigration officials have confirmed that she had not left the Philippines.

She is about 5’4”, skinny, has long strawberry blond hair, and brown eyes. Her two sons who are based in Hong Kong have been traveling back and forth to the Philippines to try to find her. The National Bureau of Investigation and other agencies have also launched a manhunt for her.

Was Carole ever located? I Googled but found nothing after 2010...
