I have known Johnny most of my life and we grew up on the same street, 4 blocks apart. He graduated from Cushing High School in 1962. I maintain 2 CHS alumni websites and plan to keep his picture up and the story alive until he is found: http://chsclassof1963.webs.com/1962johnbakermissing.htm AND we invite prayers and messages for John and his family: http://chsclassof1963.webs.com/apps/prayers/

Hopefully, someone has seen John or talked with him and will call Crimestoppers: 918-596-COPS (2677). His family is taking this very hard. I spoke with his mother yesterday and I can't imagine how difficult this must be for John's family. He would never just take off and go this long w/o contacting his family.

The family of a missing man held a prayer vigil yesterday at a Cushing church, begging for someone to speak up.

It was two months ago today that John Baker disappeared. His abandoned truck was found on I-244 near Memorial, but his daughter Carmen Matherly says the family is not giving up.

Thank you Mtrooper for the information. So very sad.....

I'm looking for "official" confirmation.....

From July 2011:

http://www.news9.com/story/15062154/tulsa

Tulsa Police are asking the public for help in a finding the killer of a Cushing man whose body was found earlier this year...

Detectives have learned Baker was an avid poker player known to carry large amounts of cash, but they said they need a lot more information to find his killer.

From November 2014:

http://www.newson6.com/story/274094...for-answers-4-years-after-oklahoma-mans-death

Johnny Baker's death remains a mystery. Adding to the mystery is a message left by mistake on an elderly woman's voicemail in Owasso, talking about what to do now that the body has been found. That woman called investigators, and they tracked down the man who left that message, but he has refused to say a word about it...

Carmen Matherly is at her wit's end when it comes to figuring out who killed her father and why. She wonders if he was followed home and robbed or if it was one of his renters who didn't want to pay...

She says cell phone records show her dad's phone pinged off cell towers in north Tulsa on November 17th, 2010, where he was headed to collect rent. It also pinged west of Tulsa, near the location where he was found months later. But his truck was found in East Tulsa, locked and abandoned under the overpass at Interstate 244 and Memorial. No fingerprints and his cell phone and wallet gone.
