MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Friends and relatives are searching for a 21-year-old beauty school student who went missing nearly a week ago.

Tuesday, Jacklyn Miller's co-workers at Discount Wigs on American Way put up flyers, hoping someone has seen her.

According to Janet Burnett, co-workers knew something was wrong when Miller didn't show up for work on Thursday. Miller's friends said she had a restraining order against her boyfriend, but they had recently been getting along.

Burnett said it is not like Miller to just take off.

"She always make sure somebody know where she is regardless, even if she just going down the street," Burnett said.

Miller, stands 5'5", and weighs 125 pounds, was last seen at her mother's house in Orange Mound on Wednesday. She drives a 1998 Mazda four door.

If you know anything that might lead to Jacklyn Miller, call the Memphis Police Department's Missing Persons Bureau at 901-636-4441.

Tuesday afternoon, an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip led investigators to the Willow Creek Apartments on Winchester. There, police found Miller's Mazda parked inside the gate, on the edge of the parking lot. When they opened the trunk, officers found a body.

The vehicle was towed from the scene for processing and upon checking the trunk, a body, later identified as Miller was found.

While Memphis Police make the transition from looking for a missing person to a homicide investigation, one immediate fact pops up. In March, Miller filed a petition of an order of protection. The document doesn't name who it was filed against.

Rest in Peace Jacklyn.

Boyfriend of missing Memphis woman held on investigative hold

Memphis Police canceled the City Watch for Miller, but have yet to identify the body. But friends, family and co-workers are resigned to the worst.

Police have yet to charge anyone in this case, but Miller's boyfriend was being held on a 48-hour investigative hold. He has not been charged with Miller's disappearance.

As the judge announced the maximum 25-year prison sentence Monday for convicted murderer Richard Dickerson, some of the family and friends of victim Jacklyn Miller wept softly...

Dickerson, 25, who is 6-6 and 205 pounds, was convicted in July of second-degree murder in the death of Miller, 21, whose body was found in the trunk of her car...

Miller and Dickerson met in beauty school and had dated less than a year when he killed her.
