Kayla was residing in Lewis County, but her last known location was in the Cowlitz County area. Kayla is also known to frequent Grays Harbor and Pierce County. Kayla is described as a white female, 5’06”, 105 pounds, blue eyes and brown hair.

Kayla was reported by a friend who had not seen or heard from her for several days. Croft appeared to be a frequent user of MySpace.com leading up to her disappearance, but has not accessed her account since April 28th, 2010.

She's been missing a long time ~ almost a year

CORRECTION: Cowlitz County is in Southern Washington State with Longview and Kelso and the Mt St Helen's area it's major places of interest.

Nearly a year after Kayla Croft-Payne went missing, there's still no sign of her, and authorities said they have no fresh leads on where the teen might be.

Call regarding missing teen leads to extortion arrest

Dispatchers gave police the Longview address associated with the cellphone. Police went there and spoke with Jackson Michael O'Dowd, 18, Longview.

It is reported that this young man made a statement in May that he took her, but he is known to "make things up".

Gordon Trucking unveils fleet's latest missing child poster

Gordon Trucking of Pacific is well known for placing posters of missing Washington and Oregon children on the sides of its fleet of trucks.

The company unveiled its latest poster Friday morning at its headquarters, 151 Stewart Road SW.

The missing child is Kayla Croft-Payne, 18, last seen in April 2010 in the Chehalis area.
