Shortly after 6 p.m. television news reports told of the incident, Heckler said, the wife of a police officer found a set of keys and a piece of Corado's identification in her yard in Camden. Recognizing Corado from news reports, she contacted police, who searched the area, Heckler said.

Corado's Pontiac was found unoccupied at 6:54 p.m., parked in the 1600 block of Norris Street in Camden. "A large amount of red fluid consistent in appearance with blood was observed on the interior surface of the vehicle" by a Falls Township detective, the affidavit says.

Slightly more than two hours later, Patterson was arrested at the Clover Motel. As he was taken into custody, "red stains consisted in appearance with blood were observed on his clothing," but he refused to speak to investigators, the affidavit says.

blood in the car, blood on his clothing, knife taken from the home.

Oh no. I fear for Diane.
Not looking good at all.

I'm confused, was her friend abducted with her?

How absolutely horrifying. This does not sound good. How terrifying for her!
Claudette- her friend was with her but she talked him into letting her go in the car. She then got a ride w a passerby and called police.

Police and family grew more concerned Monday night, after police dogs searched but could not find Diane Corado.

"No one's heard from her since the time of the abduction, so we're very concerned," said Falls Township officer Lt. Henry Ward.
.............
The K-9 units' futile search went on for hours at a park near the Village of Pennbrook Apartments where Corado, 57, lived. Her former boyfriend, Kenneth Lamon Patterson is in custody, but not talking.

Police have requested surveillance camera footage from the toll bridges connecting Pennsylvania and New Jersey to determine the route Kenneth Patterson traveled in an effort to locate missing Falls resident Diane Corado.

Kenneth L. Patterson, the man police say kidnapped his ex-girlfriend early Sunday morning, was arrested in 2008 on similar charges involving a former girlfriend - including kidnapping, assault and carjacking.

All but two of the original charges in the case were dismissed as part of a plea bargain. He served two years in prison after being convicted of weapons possession and receiving stolen property. He was released in January 2010.
..............
Police announced Monday that they need the public's help to narrow their search for Corado. Authorities said Patterson left Falls and traveled to Trenton, Hamilton, Camden and Mount Holly, but declined to elaborate on how they knew that.

What they don't know is where Patterson was between 6:46 and 9:30 a.m.

"If anyone has seen the actor (Patterson) in this case, or the victim or the vehicle + no tip is too small. It may be the piece we are missing to narrow our search area even further," Ward said. "+ We are very concerned for the safety of the victim."

TRENTON — Detectives from Pennsylvania have made their way to New Jersey this afternoon as they continue their search for Diane Corado, the 57-year-old woman allegedly kidnapped Sunday from her Bucks County apartment by her ex-convict ex-boyfriend Kenneth Patterson.

Falls, Pa. Police Lt. Henry Ward said two teams of detectives are searching the area near Trenton's Waterfront Park, while other investigators continue to look for clues to Corado's disappearance in Bristol Township's Bloomsdale section.

Detectives are also eyeballing surveillance tapes from the three bridges linking Morrisville with Trenton in an effort to determine where she might have been dumped.

The FBI and the New Jersey State Police spent most of the night searching two rooms at the Clover Motel - one of which was in a complete state of disarray.

"A couple of tiles are out of the drop ceiling, the TV is on the floor, the bed is pulled out, the room is totally trashed," said motel maintenance manager Charlie Smith.

Investigators say Patterson checked into room 301 at about 4:45 a.m. Then, about 45 minutes later, he asked for a different room. Police believe Patterson used that time to possibly take a shower and clean up. It was that second room - 314 - that was trashed.

Authorities combed more than 10 miles of the Pennsylvania Turnpike shoulder for about five hours on Thursday, from Bristol to Willow Grove, searching for a woman who police say was kidnapped over the weekend by her ex-boyfriend.

It was the fifth day in the search for Diane Corado, 57, of Levittown, who was allegedly abducted on Sunday - shoeless from her apartment, and at knifepoint, in her own vehicle. Since the kidnapping, more than 100 searchers, as well as trained dogs and marine units, have scoured a lake in a park across the street from her apartment, other places the couple often went, other parts of Pennsylvania, and a few spots in New Jersey, Falls Township police said.

"There isn't a cop involved in this case that hasn't given 150 percent in trying to locate this woman before Christmas," said Joe Nicholas, a search expert and retired state corrections K-9 officer whom Falls Township police brought in to help. "When we go to bed tonight, and our knees hit the floor, let's say a prayer for that young lady and find closure for the family."

Police said they found what could be physical evidence linked to her abduction.

Falls police on Thursday said they have found what could be physical evidence linked to the abduction of Diane Corado, a Falls woman who is still missing after her ex-boyfriend kidnapped her Sunday.

Police Chief William Wilcox declined to elaborate on what the physical evidence was or where it was found. But he said, "Our detectives are doing a lot of footwork, and the Bucks County District Attorney's Office is doing a lot of footwork."
