SUFFOLK -- Police are searching for a man who has not been seen since he was involved in an accident several days ago.

Police found 39-year-old Solomon Blow's crashed vehicle Dec. 15th on Longstreet Lane. But the driver was nowhere to be found.

Over the weekend, Blow's family reported him missing.

Family members say there's been no contact from Blow since the 14th, the night before the accident.

Police say evidence shows that Blow walked away from the accident.

Police and Fire Dept. search and rescue crews have searched the area of the crash but Blow has not been located.

The search was assisted by the Virginia Beach Police air unit and Hampton police dogs.

Anyone with information about this case is asled to call CrimeLine at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.

Suffolk Police are asking for assistance from the public in locating a man that has not been seen since he was involved in an early morning accident several days ago.

On December 15, Suffolk Police were called to the scene of a single vehicle accident in the 3600 blk. of Longstreet Ln. Upon arrival they found an overturned vehicle without an operator. Through investigation police learned the vehicle was last observed being operated by Solomon Blow, age 36, of Suffolk.

Last night, Blow’s family members reported him missing to Suffolk Police. They advised that there had been no known contact with Blow since the night before the accident.

Today police aided by Suffolk Fire and Rescue’s Search and Rescue Team, Tidewater Search and Rescue, Virginia Beach Air Unit and Hampton Police K-9 searched the wooded area around the 3600 blk. of Longstreet Ln. Blow was not located.

All evidence and follow up investigation suggest Blow walked away from the accident scene. Police are asking anyone that may know Blow’s whereabouts or has seen Blow since the morning of December 15 to contact Crime Line at 1-888-Lock-U-Up or Detective C. Balzer at 757-514-7944.

    • Classification: Endangered Missing
    • Age: 38 years old
    • Height and Weight: 6'2, 230 pounds
    • Distinguishing Characteristics: African-American male. Black hair, brown eyes. Blow has a full beard. Some agencies spell his name "Solomon."
    • Medical Conditions: Blow was in a car accident prior to his disappearance and may need medical attention.

    Details of Disappearance
Blow was last seen in Suffolk, Virginia at 11:30 p.m. on December 15, 2010. At 1:30 a.m. the next day, the police were called to a field in the 3600 block of Longstreet Lane, where they found his car overturned in an apparent single-vehicle accident. There was no sign of Blow and authorities believe he walked away from the scene of the accident. A search of the area turned up no sign of him.

Authorities didn't find blood or any other evidence at the crash site to suggest Blow had been injured. The only thing left in his car was his cellular phone. The last two calls made on the phone were to the Happy Horse Bar on Holland Road. Blow didn't frequent that establishment, however, and nobody there knew him. He was officially reported missing on December 18.

Blow had apparently run into conflict with his business partners prior to his disappearance and investigators received tips that he had faced retribution as a result, or that he had left the area to get away from his partners. He has relatives in North Carolina and other ties to that state. The circumstances of his disappearance are unclear and his case remains unsolved.
