Burned body found believed to be that of missing 12 year old
New developments are expected today in the case of a 12-year-old boy missing since Christmas Eve. Sources tell Eyewitness News that remains found yesterday are that of Jonathan Foster.
The medical examiner this morning is expected to confirm that some burned remains found yesterday are that of 12-year-old Jonathan Foster.
Jonathan was last seen Friday afternoon at the north Houston apartment complex where he lives with his mother and stepfather.
Houston police are still waiting for official identification from the Medical Examiner's Office, but we're told investigators are proceeding as if the body found earlier today is that of Jonathan Foster.

Woman to be charged in 12 year olds disappearance
A woman is expected to be charged Wednesday in connection with the disappearance of 12-year-old Justin Foster, police sources said.
The woman, who is not a relative of the boy, was taken into custody Wednesday morning.
Police sources said she was not being cooperative with the investigation, but detectives have collected a considerable amount of evidence linking her to the boy’s disappearance.
Investigators could be seen removing evidence from the suspect's home after she was taken into custody Wednesday.

Hopes dim for safe recovery of missing boy
Hopes for the safe recovery of 12-year-old Jonathan Foster, missing since Christmas Eve, continued to dim Tuesday, with detectives privately saying they believe the burned body found in a ditch near the Hardy Toll Road was, in fact, that of the boy.
It was also disclosed that the story about the boy having been with a babysitter just before he disappeared was false. Foster was instead at home alone in his mother’s apartment.

Arrest made in case of missing boy
A close family friend has been arrested and is expected to be charged with the kidnapping and murder of 12-year-old Jonathan Foster, a police source close to the investigation said today.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was arrested this morning at her home, the source said.
A break in the case came when a vehicle that "was very identifiable as her vehicle" was spotted on surveillance video taken from an office building near the ditch where a body believed to be Jonathan’s was found in the 9900 block of East Hardy on Tuesday.

Angela Davis crumpled into a couch this afternoon in the small cottage in northwest Houston where her son was last seen alive, pulling her pajama-clad knees to her chest.
"I feel responsible because I left him here," she said, crying and staring blankly at the front door. "I’m his Mama. I’m supposed to protect him. Who else is going to protect him if I can’t?"

Eyewitness News has learned that a female suspect has been charged with capital murder in connection with the disappearance and death of 12-year-old Jonathan Foster. He had been missing since Christmas Eve.
The Harris County District Attorney's Office told us they have accepted charges for capital murder for Mona Nelson. The office said they will request no bond.
