(WTVM)-
Michelle Posey Young hasn't seen her son, Trey Byers, for nearly three weeks.
Byers, a 22-year-old contractor and father of two, said goodbye to his family on his way to a party with two of his friends.
When he didn't come home, worry turned into panic.
"Trey has never went without texting me, calling me or letting me know he's ok or just to tell me that he loves me. We just want him home," Young said.
"He left here from his home on December 18th around 1:30 PM. That's the last time his parents have seen him. He left with two individuals- just said he'd be back the next day and he hasn't returned. Obviously something is wrong and we're just trying to figure out what's going on," said Taylor County Sheriff's Office.
Byer's family has been posting fliers everywhere and search parties have been combing the woods but so far, there have been no signs of the missing man. Agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are also working on the case.
Byers mother says she's fearing the worst but still hoping for the best.
"Please, if there's anybody out there and if you're holding back any kind of information, please, we're begging you- give it up and let us get our son back," she said in an interview Wednesday.
Officials say they'll continue working overtime in the search for Byers. Agencies in Bibb, Crawford and Taylor county are involved, along with the GBI. WTVM is told investigators are working several leads in the case.
