Chateau Marmont because their house recently burned down.

She didn't like to take the bus to school so would get up early and walk. On the way to school on the morning of September 25, 1969, Alcala stopped her on Sunset Boulevard and asked her if she wanted a ride. "I said, 'I can't talk to strangers and the person said, 'I know your family,'" she told the jury.

Alcala eventually enticed her inside his car by telling her that he had a beautiful picture to show her.

Luckily for Shapiro, she didn't remember much after that. "I remember being shown a picture and that was the last thing I remember," she said.

How CREEPY! The whole 'beautiful' photo thing creeps me out big time!!

Yes, and because he was defending himself, Tali S. had to be questioned BY HIM. Can you imagine the feeling she must have had having to answer HIS questions? Horrible!

Thankfully I dont think that he decided to cross examine her but he was in the court room during her testimony which is almost just as awful. I couldnt imagine having to sit there and watch him smirking/smiling/looking smug while shes talking about how he crushed her neck by putting a heavy bar on it while beating/raping her.

Im so happy she seems to have a strong support system in place to help her threw all this. Im sure Alcala is enjoying seeing how difficult this is for her and being able to make her a victim all over again. :furious:

Actually, I think that's what they are saying here. I guess he only asked her one question...but that's more than enough...

He had the audacity to ask her if she recalled him apologizing during an earlier trial.

Shapiro did not answer.

That creeper don't deserve an answer.

Unbelievable though the poor child's house burned down then she was kidnapped and attacked near death by this monster. Bless her for getting through this life. I can't even begin to imagine the pain, fear and questions she has had through life.
