The link above mentions a white Cadillac leaving the scene. I have a sick feeling that prostitution/trafficking might be a component. Here's another article with a few more details:
"The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a shooting in a hotel room in SE Albuquerque Sunday morning. APD is on scene at Quality Suites Hotel on Gibson Boulevard near University Boulevard where a woman was found with a gunshot wound to the head...."
and
"....One woman is being detained for questioning."

Another article which states that LE was called to the scene around 9 am and that they are looking for two suspects:
The comments here attribute this to gangs. Am I to understand this is NOT human trafficking related? Any time a reasonably nice and centrally located motel/hotel is involved, I always consider trafficking.
The victim is 22, on life support, name is Brandy, did not catch last name. One woman has been questioned, still looking for the white car and checking hotel records. They say it is not a murder investigation? but that homicide is investigating. What does that mean?
PS-I guess they are saying that as technically, the victim is still alive...
