I was happy to see that her extended family commented (comments under original link) that she needs help not jail. She's a very scary and out of control person.

Wow. What's going on in this world? This young lady has to be very sick. In a way thank goodness she set that fire.

February 2012:

Court documents showed Toruga set Robledo's closet on fire, and that she'd planned to kill Robledo and steal her unborn child.

Toruga was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, burglary and arson.

Her attorney read a brief statement, saying her client apologizes and asks forgiveness.

Toruga was sentenced to 7 1/2 years in prison

Court documents also showed mental illness may be to blame for Toruga's alleged plot, as she suffers from schizophrenia.

"The confession made things more real," Angelique told us. "I forgive her because I know she's sick, but I'm still afraid she'll come back to finish the job."

In December 2011 Kassandra Toruga pleaded "guilty except insane" to the crimes.
