Here we go again:

Dead Infant’s Family Had DCF Past
March 13, 2011 10:44 PM

MIAMI (CBS4) –Miami Dade Police are calling the investigation into the death of a four month old little boy “classified” Sunday.

Department of Children and Family Services said the baby’s older sister was taken into the agency’s custody and they said the family does have a history with DCF.

How many more children are going to die before they REALLY DO SOMETHING about the COMPETENCE OF THIS ASSININE AGENCY???????

:furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

I really have no words (that will allow me to stay on here).

Have to wonder how they will spin this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Former Gov Bush privatized much of DCF while in office. People ready to retire were laid off. He decimated that program and the children are suffering for it.

So they took 1 child but left the other 1? who then died?? WTH is wrong with these people?????

No, peeples. I think the reporter meant that when the little boy died DCF THEN took their other child. But WTH knows anymore.

Scubatwinn, while I think you are "partially" right - I hold the first responders, the hotline operators, the social workers FULLY responsible. They are the front line - they SEE and HEAR what is going on and yet nothing gets done and our children are dying.

It was funny, DCF couldn't (or didn't) act quick enough to save Nubia or this other child - they sure moved FAST ENOUGH to get a bill written and in front of the legislature to CAP THE DAMAGES allowable that DCF will have to pay for any "mishaps".

Politics play a part - but its a backstage part. The real, live, human beings that respond to these complaints are incompetent and uncaring - JMHO - however, what else are we left to think after reading all these cases lately where DCF was involved yet did nothing to help the children? I have other thoughts on why this is - but I will keep those to myself for now.

I am praying for the day we have major changes in our messed up DCF system here in Florida. So many dead children, my heart breaks each and every time I hear these stories.

Wake Up Florida DCF!!!! PROTECT OUR CHILDREN!

Well well well

It seems "momma" was in court today - there was a custody / placement hearing for the 3 yr old little girl.

Momma tested positive for cocaine and benzos - so she was out.

But then, this "unusual" woman had the nerve to speak out to the judge!!!! Boy o boy did the judge give it to her.

I just saw the report on www.wsvn.com local news - watch their site (I'll try to find it later on and post it).

Can you imagine? Test positive for cocaine and then have the nerve to go to court?

OMG - I'm just livid...............

Another article from PB Post

According to police, the child was living in unfavorable conditions. However, the infant's parents said their home was in a state of disarray because they panicked as they looked for the car keys to drive their son to the hospital.

Wow, that a new one! As if that were even true.
