It looks like they are referring to Michael J. Berry as the Missing Person case they are reviewing.

at the risk of stating the obvious, if the medical examiner cannot determine if the remains were that of a male or female, white, black, hispanic, Native American or Asian (or any mixture of the groups) how is anyone to guess who the deceased might be?

Perhaps the shoes or clothing is providing clues.

They could have complete teeth but still be unable to determine much. While teeth sometimes yield clues about race, age, etc. they don't always. Or there might be an identifying mark on one of the bones (unusual fracture, screws or plates, surgical marks, etc.) If they're pretty sure who it is, and he has something distinctive about him, it might not take much to be able to confirm the identity.

Michael Berry is the MP case they are reviewing. So far, they have been unable to locate dental records. If not, they will have to wait a few months for DNA results.

7th July:

A team at the University of North Texas has reported so far that the remains are likely from a white male between 50 to 70 years old.
