Patrick Edouard
"The alleged victims decided, as a group, to go to the church elders. Edouard resigned at the moment he was confronted by a group of church elders and two of the victims' husbands. The church deposed him from office. He is no longer allowed to serve as a pastor for any of the United Reformed Churches in North America. Edouard and his wife sold their house in February. Neighbors said that they moved with their four children to Michigan."

July 2014, conviction upheld
A Pella pastor's sexual exploitation convictions for pursuing intimate relationships with women who came to him for guidance will stand, the Iowa Supreme Court ruled Friday.

The court's ruling reverses a previous decision by the Iowa Court of Appeals, which found that Patrick Edouard deserved a new trial. Edouard, 44, served as pastor of the Covenant Reform Church in Pella from 2003 through 2010, resigning after the husband of one of the women came home to find the pastor's van in his driveway and became suspicious.
