Fire causes $800,000 in damage to Bloomfield Twp. home
Bloomfield Twp.

Investigators are probing a fire Friday that caused an estimated $800,000 in damage to a home in the 700 block of Waddington north of Maple Road. No one was injured in the blaze, which started about 1:15 p.m. after the homeowner was attempting to start a vehicle in an attached rear garage of the two-story home, Bloomfield Township Fire Chief David Piche said. He credited Birmingham and West Bloomfield crews with helping to put out the blaze quickly.
