GUILTY IN - Michael & Debbie Overby for baby selling, Indianapolis, 2011

Investigators say a convicted child molester is one of a group of people accused of trying to buy an unborn infant. (Michael Overby has an extensive criminal past that includes a child molestation conviction in 1984. He served about two of a four year prison sentence).

"[They] made arrangements for the custody of that child in exchange for a place to live for about a month and about $300 in cash," IMPD spokesperson Paul Thompson said.

OMG are you kidding me? Is that all a baby is worth to these people? Thank god police caught on to this disgusting bunch of people. I don't even want to think of what this child's life could have been! Take him away for this "mother".

According to investigators, Michael Overby and his sister-in-law, Debbie Overby, tried to purchase a baby from Rose Faucett. Police say Faucett has a history of prostitution.

I hope they prosecute this woman (along with the rest) to the highest extent of the law - selling a baby to a SO is no different than any other act of trafficking.... :sick: :maddening: :sick:

I was just getting ready to start a thread on this topic. See another fabulous WS'r beat me to it.

Not only do I hope these 4 are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, I hope this ensures NONE of the four are ever allowed parental rights in the future. This should be enough for the courts to step in should this egg donor ever bare children again.

Thank God LE caught wind of this and stepped in and saved this child from a lifetime of abuse.

I want to know where the baby is now! If he signed a paternity affidavit at the hospital, then the baby has already been born.

Oh my this story gets more interesting by the day.

Debbie Overby and her brother-in-law Michael Overby exchanged an old pickup truck for the girl, Emily Rose Lloyd, 21/2 years ago, authorities said Wednesday.

Since then, they have been paying her parents up to $200 a month to let them keep the child at the home they share in the 500 block of Perry Street, authorities said.

Hmmmm. Not sure if this is a good place to put this but I have to wonder about a possible connection. The links above are about a woman named Rose Faucett of Indianapolis. Selling a baby....child molester involved. Arrested in 2011. Then what about this guy, Michael Faucett? Also of Indianapolis. Child *advertiser censored* producer with a very young little victim. Also arrested in 2011. Can anyone link these two monsters? If not, possibly Faucett needs his own thread.

"....In Indianapolis, Judge Tonya Walton Pratt sentenced Michael D. Faucett to two 15-year sentences to run consecutively after Faucett pleaded guilty to two counts of producing child *advertiser censored* and possessing child *advertiser censored*..."

"...the probe further revealed Faucett possessed 29 images of a 5-year-old Kokomo victim and six videos depicting other children...."

"...Faucett told authorities he used the computers primarily for his DJ and karaoke business, which he has had for 19 years. After police recovered pictures of the Kokomo victim, Faucett admitted to taking pictures of her on one occasion and that the girl was asleep and had no knowledge of what was happening, according to the charging information..."

Debbie Overby was sentenced Friday in Marion Superior Court after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit child-selling. Her sentence includes two years on home detention and one year of probation. Overby will serve an additional year on home detention for violating probation in a prior child neglect case.

Her 57-year-old brother-in-law, Michael Overby, was sentenced last week to six years for conspiracy to commit child-selling and forgery
