Pima County grand jurors indicted Blanca Reneis Montano, 21, after being presented with evidence that, according to investigators, showed she contaminated the girl's intravenous lines, court documents indicate. Montano is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.

Montano was always at her daughter's bedside and had placed blankets around the crib, preventing hospital workers from seeing what she was doing, staffers told detectives. The staff put up a hidden camera, but Montano was seen on the video stuffing tissue into the hole on the box to obscure the camera's view, according to court documents.

Yup she is a real rocket scientist!

Seems like she was trying to harm both children!!

While researching MBP disorder, I came across this case and realized that we already have a thread. I guess after investigating, they've come to the conclusion that this mother must suffer from this disorder. It certainly makes sense.

As a doctor testified in an Oregon case (where Sara Dillard poisoned her child with morphine for attention), there is no cure.

Tucson mom pleads not guilty in Munchausen case

"....Authorities believe Montano may have a rare condition known as Munchausen's Syndrome by Proxy, where a mother intentionally harms or sickens her own child for reasons of gaining attention or self-gratification...."

Thanks Missizzy! I also believe these women are not "curable". JMO

August 2013:

A Tucson woman who intentionally contaminated her baby daughter’s intravenous lines with fecal matter has been sentenced to 13 years in prison.
Pima County prosecutors say Blanca Reneis Montano was sentenced Friday.
She was convicted in May of child abuse under circumstances likely to cause death or serious injury.
Her child contracted several bacterial infections but survived.
