The power of a skilled trafficker knows no bounds. I'm hopeful that this young woman will get the treatment she needs. That treatment is hard to come by these days, however, and rarely lasts over 30 days. It's not nearly enough to break the horrible cycle....

Facing a King County Superior Court judge Thursday, Anthony Terry was among the first defendants to be sentenced under stiffer penalties for pimping children recently enacted by the state Legislature. Terry, 31, was arrested in June during a sting conducted by detectives with the Seattle Police Department’s high-risk victims unit.
