I believe this is Jeromy Childress: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/c/childress_jeromy.html

Based on proximity, clothing, demographics and circumstance.

I submitted in Nov. 2011, after running across this case...and never heard back. Knowing DNA matching takes time, I gave it a while...but its been over a year and Jeromy is still not listed as a rule out to this UID.

Anyone have a good relationship with Veronica Vance in OR that they can send along?

I think I know someone who can pass this along to her for us. If not, I'll let you know. Otherwise, assume she gets this message. :)

Thanks Kimster! I noticed also teeth seem like a good possible match...and knowing the area and its inclimate weather its not a far stretch to imagine a lost hunter falling into a ravine in the middle of the night.

How would someone go from Tillamook county forest to a Polk county ravine on foot? That seems like a really long walk.

Then again, that's assuming that he got lost and was roaming aimlessly through the woods.

I can't imagine it either. The foliage is so thick that you couldn't even go in a straight line, on top of it all!

Its actually only about a seven to eight hour walk as the crow flies, based on where he was last seen. The UID was found really close to the Highway by Valley Junction.

I did a couple 3D fly bys and with all the logging roads its really not as inconceivable as it sounds...

Especially if you started walking about six or seven and were trying to stay warm.

Apparently Charles Farlay has been located https://www.findthemissing.org/en/homes/error_case_access?reason=found

The UID's profile is still available, though, so I guess it wasn't him. There are some more ruleouts on the list, though:

John Biesen 1970 Oregon
Jason Franks 1980 Oregon
STEVEN FRICK 1965 Oregon
Russell Gonzales 1964 Oregon
Donnell Love 1964 Oregon
Christopher Mann 1984 North Dakota
Kevin Nordquist 1967 Oregon
Mansoor Riaz 1979 Washington
Jerry Smith 1951 Oregon
Samuel Stefonek 1980 Washington
Robertson Winters 1985 Oregon

And here's where the body was found, roughly: https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=...3833&sspn=0.032923,0.084543&mra=prev&t=m&z=14
