Casey Anthony trial: Computer expert testimony continues this morning

A computer programmer whose software helped forensic investigators search Casey Anthony's computer will resume the stand as the 14th day of the trial begins this morning at 9 a.m.

John Dennis Bradley, the CEO and founder of SiQuest Corporation, told jurors Wednesday that someone searched several terms on Google and Wikipedia, including death, chest trauma, chloroform and hand to hand combat.

Prosecutors show the jury photos of the wooded area where Casey Anthony's daughter, Caylee, was found dead in December 2008. We will NOT be repost images of the remains.

Lee Anthony Called to testify for the second time this trial, he recalled searching the Internet in July 2008 for information on the Sawgrass Apartments, where Casey told him she last left Caylee in the care of "Zanny the nanny." He said he did not delete any browser history.

Lee said Casey told him that Zanny held her down by her wrists and told her she was taking Caylee from her to teach her a lesson, calling Casey a bad mother.

The jury was shown images of Caylee Anthony's skeletal remains on Thursday.

Before showing the them, Judge Perry warned courtroom spectators that the photos were graphic.

Cindy and George Anthony did not return to the courtroom while the photos were being displayed.


Jennifer Welch testified about items found with the Caylee's remains, including a black plastic bag, an off-white canvas bag, a red plastic Disney bag, a pair of shorts, a blanket and "clothing remnants."

Duct tape could be seen on the facial region of the skull, she testified.
Jurors also heard a recording of a 911 call in which Roy Kronk reported to have found a skull.



Lee Anthony also testified Thursday that he was the one searching the Internet on the Anthony family computer July 15 and 16, 2008

Casey Anthony’s murder trial broke early for the day Thursday after Anthony unexpectedly fell ill.

The illness happened during the afternoon recess, just after 3 p.m.

During the recess, Anthony clutched a water bottle in her hand as she covered her mouth with a fist. She was seen speaking with defense attorneys Dorothy Clay Sims and Lisabeth Fryer.

Earlier Thursday, testimony centered on the recovery of the skeletal remains of Caylee, from a wooded area in December 2008.


Lee Anthony Returns

Jurors heard testimony from Lee, who testified that his sister -- out of jail on bail the month after Caylee was reported missing -- told him an alternate version of how the little Caylee Anthony was kidnapped by her nanny.

Lee said, Casey Anthony told him in August 2008 that she had met the nanny, Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, at Blanchard Park along with Gonzalez's sister.

Casey told him that Gonzalez held her down and told her that she was taking Caylee from her because she wasn't a good mother, "to teach her a lesson,".

Casey Becomes Sick During Testimony On Remains"Snip" Updated: 4:44 pm EDT June 9, 2011

Thursday had been the most intense day of evidence so far during Casey's murder trial, with jurors viewing crime scene photos of Caylee Anthony's remains, including pictures of her decomposed skull.

Judge Perry warned people that graphic photos would be shown. He asked anyone who might get queasy to leave.

Casey Anthony became ill during her murder trial on Thursday and as a result, court was dismissed early.

Lee testified, that his sister provided a different reason of how Caylee was taken from her while she was free on bond in August 2008.

Courtroom bailiffs later escorted Casey Anthony out of the courtroom. Reports from the OC Courthouse said Casey Anthony became emotional, and possibly sick, after hearing detailed testimony about the remains of Caylee.

Casey was crying during the mid-afternoon break.

Casey was returned to Jail where she is being seen by medical staff, jail officials said. Specifics about her treatment or illness will not be released due to medical privacy laws.

Viewers can't see the photos on television, but those in the courtroom can.

In Courtroom 23, you see how truly diminutive Casey Anthony is. It appears her chair has been lowered to emphasize the effect.


Tiny Casey versus the overwhelming power of the state.


She sits there hour after hour, sometimes with a large binder notebook, the dimensions that of a little kid with an encyclopedia. She turns the pages on occasion, taking notes now and then, looking up to watch testimony about the stench given off by her toddler's decaying body with the same emotion she might give to a discussion about the weather.


She is a Bratz doll in the hot-body party pictures with her friends, a chilling and lying sociopath in the jailhouse videos with her parents, and a blank stare in the courtroom.

She is hot and she is cold.

And that is the quickest summation of why we are here.

Casey, herself, did not look at the images, but became more emotional as the testimony got more graphic.

Earlier, jurors heard a recording of a 911 call made after meter reader Roy Kronk found the skull.

While prosecutors have yet to connect any of the evidence shown to Casey, her lawyers started to lay the groundwork for reasonable doubt.

The defense scapegoat, Roy Kronk. Defense attorney Jose Baez has claimed Kronk stole Caylee's body and hid it, hoping to get a reward for "finding" it later.

Casey Anthony has returned to the Orange County Jail where she is being seen by Corrections Health Services medical staff. No information can be released regarding her treatment or medical condition due to HIPPA and Florida Medical and Mental Health Confidentiality Laws.

Because transportation would be involved, no information can be provided as to whether Casey Anthony will be at tomorrow's court proceedings. Orange County Corrections will never reveal the transport of any inmate in our custody due to the security risks posed by such knowledge being made public.

Casey Anthony: Why do so many stations cover the trial?

Some viewers seem perplexed, even angry, that so many Central Florida TV stations are going wall to wall with the Casey Anthony trial on the air.

Central Florida News 13 and WOFL-Channel 35 were gavel to gavel when the trial started May 24 in Orlando. WFTV-Channel 9 saw the ratings and jumped in with full trial coverage days later. WKMG-Channel 6 joined in last week, and WESH-Channel 2 went the same route Wednesday.
