Police say they arrested two celebrity impersonators after a bizarre incident that took place in Crystal. Roger Arneson, 47, and Terrence Schulz, 27, were taken into custody Monday night. Authorities told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that Arneson could face charges of felony auto theft, fleeing police and driving while intoxicated, while Schulz could be charged with disorderly conduct and abusing the legal process.

Police said the incident started in Brooklyn Center, where the men met up with two women at an American Legion hall. They said the men then came to the VFW hall in Crystal and had some drinks inside.

At around 11 p.m., authorities said police responded to a report that Schulz, who was dressed like Elvis Presley, was having convulsions after falling down stairs outside the hall. When officers arrived to help, they said Schulz jumped up, said "Praise the Lord, Viva Las Vegas," then started singing show tunes.

Meanwhile, police said Arneson, who they claim was dressed like John Belushi, took off on a stolen car and led police on a 10-minute chase that reached speeds of 75 mph inside the Crystal airport.

Authorities eventually forced the fleeing vehicle to stop. They said squad cars suffered between $4,000 and $5,000 in damage, and Arneson was taken into custody.

"It's like taking a bad situation and making it worse," said Crystal police Capt. David Oyass. "I think this is just a good example where everything just kind of got progressively worse as it went for him in terms of how he compounding the problems."

I think someone needs to tell those impersonators that they don't actually need to DO the drugs that they both used.
