I've been sitting here with my mouth open. One because the SA is getting ready to rest. But moreover I wonder if they will tie all of the loose ends and damaging photos interspersed in their closing. Much like the videos you see of a person's life at weddings and sometimes even Funerals now.
This is when they will show in pictures (Video) along with their rhetoric as to what ICA was doing for 31 days !!
I'm not an attorney and I don't know if this would be allowed, but this may be where they show Bella Vita etc etc :waitasec:
If this thread isn't ok Mods, please feel free to take it down. TIA

WOW! Wouldn't that be the icing on the cake! I don't know if that is legally allowed because it could be considered prejudicial......hopefully our legal experts could chime in and let's us know.........I thought about the visuals in the very beginning of the trial, but they were never introduced..........but I could see it in the SA closing arguments because if you remember LDB said "This case isn't about Casey but about a little girl named CAYLEE"!!

I'm hoping it is something on those Home Depot videos. I still can't get over why the state would have two of them in mid and late May, well before Caylee died. If she is seen on them buying anything incriminating that points to chloroform ingredients or any kind of inhalant, then that would point to premeditation and Murder One, which the state's case has been a bit weak on, other than the google searches. The other two tapes are from late June and early July, so I can't think what use they'd be as Caylee would have already been taped and bagged.

The tattoo itself is certainly interesting, but even before the absurd OS by the defense, the state had to know it could be part of some idiot "ugly coping" theory and is not really inculpatory in the way that the forensic evidence has been. I like your theory on tying up loose ends in a visual way and making sure the jury has a tangible memory of the life of the victim, particularly showing, like the duct tape one, how she started out an adorable little toddler with her whole life in front of her and was degraded and defiled in death in the most disrespectful way that could only be seen as a homicide by any rational person.

I posted before that I'd love to see a timeline of those 31 days showing Casey on one side, where she was, what she was doing, where she was lying and saying she was (Jacksonville, Fusion, Tony's apartment, tattoo parlor, shopping at Target, JCP etc) along side a photo showing where the Prosecution believes Caylee's body/remains were at each point. That would certainly bring home the 31 days and show Casey for exactly what she is.

I posted this on the sidebar thread today and quoted you regarding dates and times of the Home Depot video from a post you made on 6/6....

here are the arriving flights @ the Orlando International Airport and the cities they come from

http://www.arrowcast.net/fids/mco/fids.asp?sort=@schedule&sortorder=asc&city=&number=&airline=&adi=

Cities departed from and arriving Orlando from 11:30 am – 12:05 pm on 6/13/11 include: Milwaukee, Baltimore, Atlanta, Nassau, Akron-Canton, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Kansas City, Nashville, Birmingham, Chicago-MDW, Panama City FL, Boston, Montreal, St. Louis, Cleveland, Hartford

The Home Depot Corporate offices are in Atlanta! However, I have been cautioned that Altanta is a major hub and could be from a connecting flight somewhere else.....just thought this might help yours (and my hope) that the final witness has the locking piece to the puzzle (ie: purchase of acetone from Home Depot on video, etc).

ETA - the witness arrives around 11:30 tomorrow and in my experience major Airlines usually keep the same schedule for the weekdays and times....not always.

Excellent post!

Maybe it's Caylee's Dad, or the man that Casey was saying that she had something to tell him.

Couldn't Casey have used nail polish remover instead of having to go find Acetone from Home Depot? There is plenty of nail polish remover on the market that could do the same thing.

{{{speechless}}

The website ICA liked so much cautioned against the use of nail polish remover instead of pure acetone. I'm guessing nail polish remover is diluted in some fashion or has some additive to keep from drying out the nails that would keep it from working properly. But that's just a guess - I have never, nor will I ever, make chloroform! :twocents:

I thought so too ....but IIRC one of the expert testimony's (Dr Vass?) said this wasn't the same kind of acetone you could buy in the grocery store....but my brain has turned sorta mushy over the past month....

Honestly she would not need huge quantities....but maybe she didn't know that and that is the reason for the astronomical readings Dr. Vass found...

I just find it interesting at how fast this case is going! Looking back on a couple death penalty cases:

OJ? Trial began on January 25, 1995, and ended at 10 am on 3 October 1995 (can U believe it?) Per WIKI.

Peterson: The trial, the People of the State of California v. Scott Peterson, began in June 2004, and ended on March 16, 2005, Judge Alfred A. Delucchi formally sentenced Peterson to death.

David Westerfield: went on trial on June 4, 2002, and In January 2003, a California judge sentenced David Westerfield to be executed.

We're only on day 14 (?) and we're looking at the State resting. It's quite possible this entire case can be wrapped up in less than 60 days - for a death penalty case!

I realize both sides have had 3 years to pull this alltogether, but the speed in which this is going has me floored. I never ever expected it.

Thanks for letting me vent. I can only hope the SA brings out some really big guns to throw the DA's theory straight into the bin. They've done a great job thus far!

MOO - please and thanks.

IMHO, the SA has been very methodic and scientific. I hope they really humanize her as much as possible at rebuttal. She was such a beautiful girl, and I'd love for the jury to see some more pictures of her (sans the skull, duct tape, etc). You know - really tug at those heart strings!

(Snipped for length)

That's my point in this thread. Caylee is laying there in the cold dark woods and she was out at Hot body contests.
All these tears for the jury this week, show the video of her an TL walking arm in arm through blockbuster, only hrs.after her daughter drowned? :banghead:

That is the exact point I'm trying to make and hoping or thinking the SA may end with some of those adorable videos of her singing "Don't take my sunshine away." And, "you tired Papa?"
All the while ICA was shaking it up. :rocker: She gets over things very quickly. Loses her daughter and is able to go and eat, then watch horror movies less than 6 hrs. later?

I've used acetone on horse hoofs. It iscaustic and I would be surprised if it did not burn a child's skin.

My hubby was telling me about Starter Fluid" Ether ...

Starting fluid is sometimes used as an [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inhalant"]Inhalant abuse - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Butane-2D-Skeletal.svg" class="image"><img alt="Butane-2D-Skeletal.svg" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5d/Butane-2D-Skeletal.svg/50px-Butane-2D-Skeletal.svg.png"@@AMEPARAM@@commons/thumb/5/5d/Butane-2D-Skeletal.svg/50px-Butane-2D-Skeletal.svg.png[/ame]. Sometimes referred to as "passing the shirt," the starting fluid is sprayed on a piece of cloth and held up to one's face for inhalation. This trend has gradually picked up since the turn of the century, as phrases such as "etherized" and "ethervision" have gained popularity. The effects of inhalation vary, but have been known to include lightheadedness, loss of coordination, paranoia, and sometimes hallucinations.
It should be noted that the constituents of starting fluid, most especially the solvents, are significantly harmful to the health, especially relative to pure diethyl ether, which is less harmful.[1][2]

Good grief! I had no idea that gasoline sniffing was such a widespread problem. We all know there were gas cans in the trunk (one of them with a sloppily applied piece of duct tape over the opening). What I'm still trying to figure out is if any other inhalant could have degraded into a chloroform component?

I know me too .. He was watching court with me the day of the computer searches and did not think twice when he mentioned this .. I just looked at him...he said look it up..and I did !!

I certainly hope the SA will construct a mind blowing closing statement, with many visuals of all sorts. At this point I am just crossing my fingers that they are planning a rebuttal case to drive their point home to the jury since they are going to rest so soon. They have presented a great case thus far, but I do not believe they have driven that last nail in at this point. JMO
