A priceless painting stolen more than a year ago from a private collection has been found on the wall of a Bulgarian gypsy's flat.

The Sacrifice of Abraham by Titian was discovered by police in a Roma neighbourhood in Stara Zagora in Bulgaria.

Interpol had launched a search for the painting after it went missing from a private collection in Cyprus in May last year, local media reported.

A 24-year-old Bulgarian who was arrested claimed that a friend of a friend had given him the painting.
