NV - DNA error sends innocent man to jail, mistake uncovered

This case should be a wake-up call. How many innocent people are in jail, although they plead guilty with a plea. This guy knew the deck was stacked against him and took the lesser sentence. I think I would have too.

IMHO, this guy does deserve to be compensated for his life basically being ruined by a careless mistake. He shouldn't just be compensated for the years he spent in jail or on probation, but his life since the day he was arrested. It's been 10 years.

On Thursday, Metro Police admitted a mistake in their crime lab erroneously pinned a 2001 Las Vegas robbery on Dwayne Jackson, who was 18 at the time.

Jackson accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison and one year of probation.
