Reward Offered In Mariah Smith Case

DETROIT -- A $2,500 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers in an effort to track down who is responsible for the death of a 5-year-old Detroit girl.

Shortly before Smith's body was discovered on July 24, a man, shown in a gas station surveillance video, bought $20 worth of gas, but only pumped 41 cents worth into a beer can. Police said they want to identify the man because he's suspected of helping set the girl's body on fire to cover up her killing.
