Cops: Woman killed boyfriend with stiletto heel

Police said Thelma Carter, 46, hit Robert Higdon, 58, in the head with the shoe during a domestic dispute at their trailer. Police believe it happened sometime Sunday night.

Woman accused of killing boyfriend with stiletto heel

Peebles told the Augusta Chronicle that the body was discovered Monday morning after Carter returned to the residence and notified police.

Authorities say an autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday morning at the Augusta Crime Lab.

Jail records did not indicate whether Carter has an attorney in the case.

a judge sentenced Thelma Carter to six years behind bars for killing Robert Higdon. She must also attend a substance abuse program while in jail.

She was convicted of voluntary manslaughter for the killing on Milledgeville Road back on Aug. 1, 2011.

I'm not seeing where the article says she "stabbed him over 30 times." It says she hit him over the head with a thick soled shoe.
