I am not really sure where to put this, so I apologize if this is the wrong forum. Although this story makes me cry, it also makes me smile because dogs really are our best friends.

I saw this yesterday. It made me cry, too. What a sweet dog... I wonder if mine would miss me this much. I think he might be too distracted by the crowds, though.

When I watched that video yesterday I cried. The love that animals provide to us humans is pure unconditional love. A dog doesn't care if your breath stinks or if your hair is combed or if you have money or not. They just love their owners period. I am so glad that Hawkeye has a new owner now.

Oh gosh, thanks for posting that story.

I seen the other story yesterday and cried and wonder who would get Hawkeye. I am so glad it is someone he knew and would trust.

Thanks for that update. I put the original story on my Facebook wall, it was so touching! I wondered what would become of the dog after the funeral. I have a large female Black Lab myself. She is rather attached to me!
