You get more time for white collar crimes, although if he's in general population 10 years might be enough.

Where was the mother while all this was happening? Baby Embly was 8 months when the abuse occurred.

According to the grandmother:

Grandmother Kim Selfridge told the judge that Brayden is now “a thriving little boy.” At the time he was injured, however, he weighed just 10 pounds and “didn’t have the strength to do anything.”

He was abused from July until September. Burns, fractures to his legs.
