Q. What was the most memorable moment for you?
A. “So many. The thing about the case, it seemed like every day there was a new chapter that emerged with the story. It was important for me to never lose sight it was about a dead child who I believe was murdered by her mother. Then you have all these other characters. It made for a riveting storyline that people followed. You’d hear them complain about following it, but they were following it.

Casey Anthony: Richard Hornsby says the case was ‘like living in a Jerry Springer episode’

Q. Why did you want to do the analysis?
A. “Originally the reason I wanted to do analysis was that most lawyers who get on TV didn’t know what they were talking about or were inaccurate. I felt I kept all of the local analysts honest, because of my willingness to point out when other analysts were simply wrong.
“Second, my interest in the case continued because I felt Jose Baez was misrepresenting the profession. The things he was doing perpetuated the stereotype of the criminal defense attorney as an untrustworthy person.

We've learned an NBC news producer has reached out to people in the literary world, trying to score a book deal for Anthony. The producer has contacted literary agents and others, telling them if he scored a book deal for Casey, she'd give the network a 1-hour, primetime special ... portions of which would also run on "Today."
Jose Baez, Casey's lawyer, tells TMZ ... he has full knowledge of the producer's efforts, but says, "I'm not involved in that process. I did not entice him to do it."

“One lesson I learned, it was too easy for the commentators to become biased or advocates for a position. That’s not what legal analysts should be doing,” O’Mara said. “I saw bias going against Jose Baez and the defense. The bias was in favor of the state.”
Even so, O’Mara acknowledged there were times the defense did poorly in the courtroom.
“But for the acquittal, this case was handled dangerously by the defense,” O’Mara said, citing Baez’s opening statement and a sex-abuse allegation made against George Anthony without any evidence produced at trial to support it.
“Having said that, the acquittal erases all mistakes,” O’Mara said.
Orlando attorney Mark O’Mara provided analysis for WKMG-Channel 6 during the Casey Anthony trial.

Prospective jurors could balk at serving either in high-profile cases or in cases involving the criminal underworld, such as a case related to the mob or violent gangs, said Thaddeus Hoffmeister, an associate professor at University of Dayton's School of Law. And judges could find themselves faced with additional requests to seat an anonymous jury (a rarity in the legal system) to help allay fears of reprisals.
Although jurors may not like it, making their identities known is a cornerstone of the legal system, Hoffmeister said. The U.S. Constitution guarantees a defendant a right to trial by a fair and impartial jury. And one way to achieve that is to make sure that the jurors are known, so that any potential conflicts of interest or inherent biases will be ferreted out by either the prosecution, the defense or, in some cases, the media.

The names of the 12 Pinellas County jurors in the Casey Anthony trial were finally released by an Orlando judge on Tuesday.
But the jury that acquitted Anthony has so far stayed silent. They did not appear to respond to any of the messages left by members of the media on their phones and doors this week.
The Sheriff's Office and the St. Petersburg Police Department say they've kept a closer watch on the jurors since the verdict. But the agencies say the jurors have not complained to them about any threats or harassment.
