Three weeks ago, Tim Rhodes of Conneaut vanished without a trace, leaving behind a family whose anguish grows with each passing day.
“We have no idea what happened to him,” said his daughter, Shannon Strubbe of Ashtabula.
Rhodes, 53, was last seen on Oct. 5 by a friend with whom he shares a Beaver Street home, Strubbe said. Records obtained by police indicate Rhodes last used his telephone one day earlier, she said.
“Then he just up and disappeared,” Strubbe said.
Police Chief Charles Burlingham said investigators have turned up “nothing to indicate foul play at this point.” Efforts to pinpoint Rhodes’ whereabouts by detecting any cellular telephone activity have so far been unsuccessful, he said. Officers also are routinely checking the neighborhoods surrounding his home, Burlingham said.
“We’ve turned up nothing so far,” he said.
