If skeletized remains are found, how accurate is the height given?

Anna T. Dimmit just got out of the hospital the day before she disappeared, and I found a doe wearing a hospital band, and is the correct age and time frame - just the height is off by a few inches... the information is above... let me know any feedback you may have.

Thanks,

ikoihil

Did anyone call in the Jane Doe wearing the hospital band as a potential match? The height difference isn't major enough to be an immediate rule-out. I think it's got potential, and I'd be happy to email it. I'd call, but I work nights and my days are when the rest of the world is sleeping.

Email I sent to Dr. Love:

Good morning Dr. Love,

My name is Sue Doe Nimm, and I am a registered nurse in the state of Happiness. I am writing to you today to propose a potential match between Anna Dimmitt, missing from Fort Worth in May 1984 and Doe Network Hot Case # 646.

Anna's Link: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/d/dimmitt_anna.html

Unidentified woman's link: http://doenetwork.org/hot/hotcase646.html

I feel this is a promising match for several reasons. Firstly, Anna went missing shortly after being released from Wichita Falls State Hospital. The unidentified woman is wearing a bracelet similar to a hospital ID band. Secondly, the unidentified woman was wearing slip-on shoes and no brassiere. While a perpetrator could have removed her pants and undergarments, the absence of shoelaces. socks and bra could also point to someone who had been involuntarily committed and was at a risk for self-harm. Anna is considered disabled and has a history of mental illness. This diagnosis would make her more vulnerable to predatory individuals. Jane Doe was found to have died from blunt force injury to the head.

While there is no reconstruction of the unidentified individual and they were several inches taller than Anna's recorded height, there is a margin of error involved in measurement of both the deceased and the living. I feel that the circumstances of Ms. Dimmett's disappearance and the discovery of Jane's remains are close enough to merit an examination.

Thank you very much for taking time to entertain this possibility.

Sincerely,

Sue Doe Nimm

I hope this will help Anna get her name back

Holy speedy turnaround, Batman! I received a response for my initial email a mere 6 hours after sending it, and got an additional response at 1630 this afternoon with resolution regarding the suggested match. Sadly, Ms. Dimmitt is not a match for this Lady Jane. They were ruled out based on dental records.
