Suzanne Bowers – 12 years old. May 21, 1977 disappeared from Galveston - Medical Examiner said Bower's dental chart matched that of a skeleton found Sunday 03/25/1979 in a field near Avenue P1/2 in Alta Loma. The Galveston girl disappeared May 21, 1977 while walking from her grandmother's home in the 4000 block of Avenue S1/2 to her own residence in the 3100 block of Avenue P. Authorities Tuesday said the cause of death is still unknown. "She had a skull fracture. The cause of death has not been determined.

It was about 10:30 a.m. May 21, 1977 when the seventh grade Lovenberg School student left her grandmother's house, Mrs. Bowers recalls. "She was going home first to get her bathing suit. She wanted to go to the beach. Suzanne walked that same route many times. She never did reach home," said Mrs. Bowers. "The case has been turned over to them because it originated in Galveston. There are no suspects. There appeared to be gunshot holes in her skull."

Laura Lynn Miller, 16 - Missing 9/1/84; Found in Killing Fields League City 2/2/1986

Laura Lynn Miller - Age 16, Caucasian, brunette. Third victim found in the "Killing Fields." A Clear Creek High School sophomore. She was missing shortly after the Miller's moved to League City, on September 1, 1984. Their phone wasn't working yet, so she had been talking to her boyfriend on a payphone. At the very same convenience store where Fye was last seen. She insisted that her mother let her finish her call and she was old enough to walk home. She never arrived and the police implied to her father that she was a run away. Tim Miller had found out about Heidi Fye's murder and wanted the police check the same area for his daughter.

The same day as Jane Doe's body, the police while looking for clues stumbled upon Miller's remains on February 2, 1986 she was shot in the head. She was only a mere twenty yards from Jane Doe.

1980 Case # 80-2138
Murder of Barbara Gale Whitten

July 8, 1980 – Wooded area, south of Roman Forest Blvd, New Caney, Texas

SYNOPSIS: At approximately 2:00 pm, a witness responded to the sight
of smoke in the area of the scene. Upon arrival, the witness observed what
appeared to be a log on fire and a 1976 – 1977 medium blue Chevrolet
Nova parked nearby.
The Nova had what appeared to be two navy blue
racing stripes on the side. Two white males were observed closing the
vehicle trunk and upon entering the car, the males fled on Roman Forest
Blvd.

MCSO Deputies responded and found that the fire involved a dead
body of a black female.
Two freshly dug shallow holes were located
nearby. The victim was later identified by dental records as Barbara Gale
Whitten (23 yoa) from Wipprecht Street in Houston, Texas.

An autopsy
revealed that she had been shot multiple times with a 22-caliber firearm.

In 1983, self-professed Serial Killer Henry Lee Lucas subsequently
confessed to several murders in Montgomery County, along with approx.
600 murders elsewhere. Investigators in 1983 thought that Lucas might
have been involved in Whitten’s murder. Lucas died in prison in 2001,
after his death sentence was commuted to life. Lucas had recanted his
confessions and it is believed that he is not responsible for most of the
crimes he confessed too.

Both girls were shot. Fisher was fully clothed, but Bibbs was wearing only a blouse and sandals. The rest of her clothes were missing. When there bodies were found, the lack of scratches and bruises led investigators to believe they had not been sexually assaulted. They were last seen a couple of days earlier when they went to a nightclub with a 22 year-old acquaintance. He took them to a motel on Old Spanish Trail afterward, and claims he left them alive Friday morning, but returned later to find them gone.

Bibbs' mother, Verlina Bibbs, was murdered about ten years earlier. Her throat was cut, and her body left in a field in La Porte.

February 7 ,1996

LIBERTY - Because different types of bullets were found at the wooded Liberty County area where two La Porte girls were killed, investigators believe two assailants were involved.
Liberty County sheriff's detectives would divulge little information Tuesday, but Justice of the Peace Fred Dishongh Jr. said two men are wanted for questioning in the shooting deaths of Lynette Bibbs, 14, and her best friend, Tamara Fisher, 15.
The men's names have not been released.
The girls left their homes in La Porte Thursday night with a friend. Their bodies were found Saturday in an isolated area near Cleveland

Nina Lynn Kluge left her home in Cypress on the night of October 22, 1975 and headed 60 miles north to watch a World Series game with friends in Rosharon. That was the last time she was seen alive. Her car was found abandoned with dead battery the next day by Fort Bend deputies along Hwy 6. Two men hunting for rabbits on Thanksgiving Day along Hwy 382 in the vicinity of Darrington Prison Farm found her nude body atop a pile of clothes in a ditch next to a rice field. Her head showed a large wound from a gunshot. Nina might have been one of Ed Bell's victims.
