Case History
On August 31, 1995, a timber cutting crew unearthed human skeletal remains in a concealed wooded area near the railroad tracks, which was commonly used for illegal dumping. Montgomery County Sheriff's Office deputies responded and additional human remains were recovered from a shallow grave.

The location was on Corner-Reinhart Road 1/2 mile north of FM 1485.

Case History
A human skull was found by a passerby in a rural, wooded area near FM 455, approximately 2 miles west of Highway 75 in Anna, Texas.

The skull was lying on the ground, not buried, and had a black cat drawn above and centered between the eye orbits with what appears to be a "13" written in white on the cat's chest.

Authorities were not notified until May 1, 1996, about 6 months after the discovery.

Case History
On June 11, 1998, a man was walking in a wooded area behind his home in the 600 block of Airline Drive when he observed what appeared to be the top portion of a skull protruding from the ground.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office deputies investigated and recovered additional skeletal remains. The additional bones were determined not to be of human origin.

What appears to be a mounting hole was drilled into the cranium. The remains resemble other skulls that have been determined to be skull war trophies collected during Asian military action.

The remains were originally believed to be those of a male, however, DNA analysis in September 2010, has confirmed that they are those of a female.
