A man from Wiltshire has built himself a time machine - just like the one in the hit Michael J Fox movie.

Martin Fillery spent 10,000 turning a clapped-out DeLorean DMC-12 into a copy of the motor in the 1985 film.

It even has a "flux capacitor", time circuit gauges and atmospheric smoke vents like Marty McFly's machine reports The Sun.

Martin, 33, said: "I loved the film so much when I was younger. None of my mates believed me when I said I'd have a DeLorean one day - but I proved them wrong."

He bought the 2.8-litre stainless steel beast with trademark gullwing doors for 12,000 from the US six months ago.

Then he scoured auction site eBay for more than 100 parts to make the machine.
