Wow, his photo is just haunting. Such a handsome young guy, but he looks so, so sad!

I hope now that there has been arrests someone will turn on the others, and Hayden can be found and brought home. His family needs answers and peace. :rose:

Some more info in these articles. It seems he was robbed earlier by 3 men that day of his phone and a cask of wine. The 35 year old is charged with the robbery but not with the murder.

The 27 year old has been charged with the murder (maybe he was one of the robbers but I don't think he was charged with the robbery so this is strange). The 18 year old was covering up for him. Hayden was last seen in a friend's house where the police found his blood. I am not sure how the 3 are related to each other, the house and to Hayden.

Seems like an incredibly stupid and unnecessary murder. I hope they will find him soon.

Christchurch police have widened their inquiry into the murder of 15-year-old Hayden Miles, taking away remains from a second cemetery and returning to dig up the back yard where the boy was last seen in August.

Earlier this week they confirmed they had retrieved human remains from the Ruru Lawn Cemetery, and today they appeared to have done the same thing at the nearby Memorial Park Cemetery.

Such a sad case. God Bless him. At least they caught the animals that did this. And hopefully they found Hayden and return him to his family.

A psychiatric report has been ordered for a man charged with the murder of Christchurch teenager Hayden Miles.

The report will cover the 27-year-old man's fitness to plead and should be available for his next appearance on January 13, when his name-suppression order could be reconsidered.

From June 2013:

http://www.3news.co.nz/nznews/gavin-gosnell-jailed-for-hayden-miles-murder-2013060510#axzz3fPwF7AI4

Gavin Gosnell, 28, was sentenced to a minimum of 18 years non-parole when he appeared in the High Court at Christchurch this morning...

He was found guilty in April of murdering 15-year-old Hayden, whose body parts were found in unmarked graves at two Christchurch cemeteries four months after he went missing.

The jury heard Hayden was at Gosnell's Linwood flat in August 2011, when Gosnell bashed him unconscious. He then cleaned Hayden up and left him on a couch, where Gosnell's then-partner found him dead the next morning. Gosnell used a knife and saw to cut Hayden's body into 12 parts, before being dumped into the graves, where they lay undiscovered until December 2011.
