Merry Christmas troops!
Coming home!
The war is over!:great:

I have very mixed feelings about this.

I am a Veteran of the Iraq war. I did two tours over there.

I just don't know what to feel, lol

I cannot explain it

I am elated yet sad, forgiving yet resentful, and more.

One day I am sure that I will have worked this out.

Well, I'd like to say Welcome Home, and Merry Christmas-- I'm sure there is a lot of elation filled anticipation and joyous reunions happening this very moment. Bless them all.

I just hope there's some work for them (when they're ready), now that they're home.

First of all, thank you for your service to the country and all of us.

I would think mixed feelings are being experienced by a lot of the men and women that were in Iraq now that it is over and you think back about all you went through.

Best wishes to you in working things out for the future.

Amen.
Let's get all the troops home.

Thank you all who have served our country.

Thank you for your service, q64ceo. I know at times it can seem like a thankless job, but we are a military family, and I am currently a military mom, so my thanks to you comes from a military mom's heart. :) Glad you're back home, safe and sound! Have a wonderful Christmas!

The war hasn't really ended because it's all the War on Terror. Only the fighting on one front has ended.

Good for all the families that get to have their loved ones come home and I'm happy for those that are coming home.

And tempering that happiness is the worry about where they will work, how they will get care that they need when benefits are being slashed for them, and who will our conflict crazy government invade next in the name of the war on terror?

I am so glad to see these men and women come home to their loved ones. I hope that the ones who are injured get the help they need. That's is not only physically but mentally. They have seen so much sadness, poverty, injuries and death. So please don't think that their coming home ends our obligation to them. We all must make sure they have access to medical and financial help. Donate where you can.
