Brunswick - A Brunswick man with schizophrenia has been missing for two weeks and his father is appealing to the public for help.

"The father of a Brunswick man with schizophrenia who has been missing for two weeks is appealing to the public for help.

Jason Reil was last seen by his father on Jan. 12.

Doug Reil tells the Bangor Daily News his 33-year-old son visited and said he hadn't been sleeping or taking his medication. He also was delusional and began talking about government conspiracies.

He went out for a walk and never came back."

About a month and a half ago, 33-year-old Jason Reil walked out of his fathers Brunswick home and just disappeared. He has been gone ever since, despite an intense effort by his family and the Brunswick Police Department to find him.

Family of missing man praying for good outcome but fearing the worst

The last time they saw each other, Jason Reil made a promise to his father that he didnt keep.

I told him, Promise me youll take all the medications youve got to take for today, said Doug Reil of Brunswick of his 33-year-old son. I told him, Call your doctor and tell him what youve been telling me. He said, I promise I will. That was the last thing he said to me.
