A Seminole County Firefighter is missing!

ORANGE CITY, Fla. - Police in Maine are looking for a missing Central Florida firefighter who hasn't been seen in a week.

Authorities say 31-year-old Jerry Perdomo, of Orange City, Fla., drove a rental car from Florida to Bangor, where it was found abandoned on Friday morning in a Walmart parking lot. Authorities say surveillance video shows someone getting out of the car and walking away from the store, but it's not known who the person is.

This case is so interesting to me, although I can't exactly figure out what is going on.

Police in Maine are looking for a missing Central Florida firefighter who hasn't been seen in a week.

Authorities said his wife reported him missing on Sunday and then they found the car with no obvious signs of fowl play.
Sorry, I couldn't resist pointing out the error in this article. Made me giggle.

He was last seen on Wednesday, Feb. 15.

Police said family members told them Perdomo has made the same trip in the past to visit friends.

My question - did these "friends" ever see him??

He was last seen wearing a back zip-up hooded sweat shirt, shorts and black sneakers. He is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, about 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Firefighters at Station 41 wore yellow ribbons on their shirt, Wednesday night.

I am not certain that this is not a voluntary walk-away. However, I am curious why the "friends" he was visiting are not mentioned.

Authorities in Bangor, Maine, said on Thursday that they're searching for a man and woman in the disappearance of a missing Central Florida firefighter.

Bangor police said they want to question Daniel Porter, 24, and Cheyanne Nowak, 23. Police would not say how the duo is connected to Jerry Perdomo, a missing Seminole County firefighter who recently traveled to Maine to visit a friend and vanished.

Porter and Nowak, believed to be the last ones to see Perdomo, were last seen in a white Mitsubishi Lancer with the Maine license plate 3710SH.

A man's body was found in Bangor late Wednesday, but the death is not connected to Perdomo, police said. Bangor police said the body was found around 9 p.m. inside an apartment.

How odd. I wonder if they are both missing as well. The article says the guy is employed in a family business but doesn't say anything about what his family has to say about this. I'd hoped by this time of night some pro sleuther here would've unearthed videos/court records/school transcripts etc. :)! I don't know how you all do it!

I saw this report on the news tonight and am puzzled....
Why won't LE say how this couple is connected? That info may help figure what happened to Jerry.
Also the late TV broadcast mentioned that LE believes this couple has left the state.

This is a strange case....... I have a feeling that these two have something to do with Jerry going missing.

He's been missing too long already...... almost ten days. not good :(

Okay... I know this is just an odd coincidence... but it is very weird.

Jerry disappeared from close to Deltona, Florida.

Destiny Gruba (and Laurie May with her 3 little boys) disappeared from Aurora, Illinois.
Destiny Gruba has family and friends in Deltona, Florida and that is one of the possible destinations for them.

Creepier still? They disappeared on the same day.
I am not going to theorize, though I could... because of course it's just a creepy coincidence. But... :waitasec:

Friends of the family told Local 6 that Perdomo's wife, Tonya, went to Maine after his disappearance. His two children are staying with their grandparents.

Perdomo's wife, Tonya, is a teacher at Deltona High School and has been on a leave of absence since his disappearance, officials said.

A few Seminole County Firefighters are preparing a trip to Maine.

"Looking to send a group of our members to Maine to assist however we can, in our search for Jerry," said Williams.

Twenty firefighters have volunteered to go. They will go in shifts of four to six at a time

Perdomo is married and has two children -- a boy and a girl ages 10 and 3
-- and is a firefighter and emergency medical technician at Seminole County Fire Department Station 41 in Sanford.

His last known contact with his wife, Tonya, was via a text message that he sent her Thursday night.

---------------------------------------------------

Williams is heading to Maine with another firefighter to help the search.

"We're missing a family member and that's why there's such a passionate drive for us to go up there and find him," Williams said.

He said 20 firefighters volunteered to go
, but they didn't want to get in the way of the search, so only two are going.

-----------------------------------------------------

Perdomo's wife is expected to head home from Bangor,
where detectives have been interviewing her, possibly on Thursday.
Williams said Perdomo's wife is desperate to get the picture of the duo out to the public because she said she thinks they know something.

Following this story, but sure seems like we're missing a lot of information.
Something doesn't make sense.
