A legend has passed. New Year's Eve will never be the same. RIP, Mr. Clark.

Ah, an era gone...RIP Mr. Clark. Loved American Bandstand, and he always did the top 40 on Sundays...

RIP Mr. Clark. Thank you for the decades of laughs and smiles.

RIP Dick Clark. Thanks for the wonderful memories!

Boy...I sure didn't expect that one.

As sad as it is, I was expecting to hear Robin Gibb or Chuck Colson passed away, but not Dick Clark.

RIP.

It just got reported on CNN in the last minute or so. I wondered why they didn't have a report.

Wow. There are these disabled twins who adore him and live for his New Years' broadcasts. I wonder how they will handle this. They did not handle his stroke well. http://jezebel.com/5243027/twin-savants-fixated-on-dick-clark

Sad to see him go. He is an icon!

I didn't expect this either. Very sad to read it.

He had a great life and gave us many great memories.

Sleep peacefully Mr. Clark. :rose:

New Year's Eve won't be the same without Dick Clark.

No, New Year's Eve will never be the same.

RIP Mr. Clark.

RIP :(

If I am remembering correctly, wasnt he having difficulty this past NYE talking? Sort of sluring? I think I had posted on WS about this at the time. I dont think he's been well for sometime. Very sad, he was a great guy.

As a child, we always watched the New Year's Eve show with Guy Lombardo. He was Mr. New Year's for my parents' generation. Mr. Dick Clark is Mr. New Year's for my generation.

As a teenager, Bandstand was one of my favorites. How I envied the dancers on that show. Mr Clark was such a great host. I was so proud of Philadelphia being the home of Bandstand at that time. It later moved, but it started here.

Bless you, Dick Clark. The world will miss you. Thank you for the memories
