And I'm posting here because I am so hopeful that my sister is one of the people who is eventually found and laid to rest. If you live on Long Island, you probably saw the front page article written about her in the Long Island Press last August -- here is a link to the full story: http://www.longislandpress.com/2011/08/18/still-looking-for-judy-judith-erin-odonnell/

I just want to say - to everyone who is helping find more bodies - KEEP LOOKING - there is some family, somewhere, that is grateful for your work. Whether their loved one is among the discovered or not. It gives us all hope.

Missing persons in the late 70s and early 80s was nothing like it is today. Those poor souls need all the help they can get to get home.

THANK YOU!

One of my first thoughts was Judy, Maureen. I'm keeping my eye out.

For anyone who isn't familiar with Judy's case here is the link. Maureen has been relentless in her efforts to find her sister. She's a jewel!

Judy disappeared in 1980. Strange how things haven't changed. Judy went to the same places the Lisk women visited. Hell's Kitchen, Time Square, probably even Long Island. She's been missing nearly 32 years. Judy was a prostitute, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. Not in that order.

If anyone knows anything about Judy, remembers Judy, I hope they will come forward so her sister can take her home.

You have the right to contact a detective and have your DNA put into the system.
It's how your sister would be ID if she was found deceased.
Have there been any updates?

Judy’s thead:

Nothing for.some.time. :(
I looked under Bureau of Federal Statistics.
It states, 75 IUD remains found in NY between 1980 and 1984.
It's a PDF.
Call the ME office in NYC and ask what practice was in place for unclaimed bodies during that time period?
Ask if they kept a record of any identifiers? Pictures, clothing ECT.
Ask if they were in the practice of discarding identifiers after a certain amount of time?
