Any thoughts on this possible? There is one major objection, which is that Kootenai County appears to be something like an 8- or 9-hour drive from Murphy, Owyhee County, from which Mr. Ayala disappeared.

Details of Disappearance

Ayala was last seen in Owyhee County, Idaho on July 24, 1995. He was a federal witness for an upcoming trial at the time of his disappearance. Ayala received several threatening phone calls from unidentified persons prior to July 1995 regarding his testimony. Foul play is suspected in Ayala's disappearance.

I'm just curious if the body was badly burned maybe? Because how could it be found just one day post-mortem and yet the age estimate is 18-99 years and no fingerprints or dentals available?

Possible, but it's more likely that the lack of information is just due to incomplete data entry. A few of the other Idaho entries in NamUs are like that, too. Some of the decedents' files may well still be in old-fashioned manila folders in a county office filing cabinet.

I wish there was more info. I saw this story on Unsolved Mysteries the other day and decided to see if there where any unidentified with panther tattoos. Unfinished panther tattoo struct my interest on this doe because Richard Bare had a "possible" panther tattoo so it many not have been finished. https://www2.fbi.gov/wanted/fugitives/vc/murders/bare_rl.htm

What about James Bonelli https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/32359/. I tried to see if there was a pic of the panther tattoo he had but the only info. I can find on him is in NAMUS. He does not seem to be listed in Charley Project or Doe Network. There is a few years from when James went missing and this UID was found. James weighed less when he went missing but could have gained over the years. Both were about the same height. Both had Panther Tats, and James may have worn a beard.

Still very little info on this case, but there are at least photos of the tattoo in NamUs.

I'm not sure I would describe it as unfinished so much as maybe just crude? The little that's visible of the body makes me think of maybe a middle-aged man, although it's not much to go on.

Yes, odd they could see the tattoo but what they have listed does not give much to go on. If they could see tattoo you would think they would at least have hair color and be able to indicate closer age approx
