WATCH: These Clothes Are Made From Spoiled Milk
by Chloe Marmet | 12:42 pm, July 26th, 2011

Got milk? One German designer does — and she’s using it to create beautiful, eco-friendly dresses. Anke Domaske combined her two passions, science and fashion, to create the milk-based clothing line Mademoiselle Chi Chi....

There's a video at the link. They supposedly don't smell and feel like silk.

probably if they felt like silk and wouldn't melt when washed.
spun protein??? hmmmmmm

in the U.K., they make paper from sheep poo ...

I guess as long as the weather wasn't hot. Does bring new meaning to 'that not so fresh feeling'. :D

In the video one woman says she thinks she sweats less in them. They don't smell like spoiled milk supposedly.

Would I wear clothes made from spoiled milk?
Of course not, but I wouldn't cry over it.

Please don't say that was cheesey.

I would buy those for my kids, they're already wearing ketchup most of the time :)

I haven't read the article yet; however, I'm thinking since Steely posted it, it's legit and good.

Say, if Lady Gaga can wear a meat dress, and that toddler's mom in Toddlers and Tiaras can follow suit, then what's a little spilt milk?

Biting my nails here: hope the meat isn't, forbid, Emu???

Really interesting neat stuff .

I dont how people with milk allergies would do wearing them. It also doesnt mention how durable they might be. Also cotton shrinks so would this milk by product swell?

I probably woud buy them ,but only the out of date ones. That way I get them at a discount.

Steely, where on earth do you find these weird articles???

At least you're making me laugh!!
