    OK - Hugo, Human remains found in shed, May'12 - Sondra Ojeda

    HUGO, OK -- Hugo police say, what appears to be human skeleton remains were found Wednesday in a shed just three blocks South of the Police Station.
    Hugo Police Chief Jon Bozeman says people who were cleaning up the empty lot off of South Broadway and Kiamichi found the bones Wednesday.
    Bozeman says there are a few missing persons in the area, and they're not ruling out the possibility this could be one of them. They're also not ruling out foul play, yet.
    Bozeman says they should find out the sex, race and approximate age of the body within the next few days.

    "The remains it seems they've been here a while, a few years, its unknown ...

    Sondra Jo Ojeda (2005)


    John Lee Mangrum (2008)

    Hugo human remains identified

    "According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.... The skeletal remains found are those of Sondra OJeda. The Hugo woman disappeared in September of 2005."

    From February 2015:


    A North Carolina man, arrested this past October in connection with a 10-year-old Hugo cold case, pleaded guilty Tuesday to felony charges of unlawful removal of a dead body.

    Thurman Spence, 65, was sentenced to four years in prison, with credit for time served, and nine months probation after pleading guilty to the felony charge.
    No one has been charged in Sondra's death.
