OK OK: Walser, Donald Roosevelt DOB 8/18/1933 found 6/22/2011 # 299

I'm not finding any exact matches.

the only Donald Walser born in North Carolina around that time was a Donald Ray Walser born Feb 26 1929. He registered for the WWII draft and lived for a time in Spencer, NC. I can't prove or disprove anything.

FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - Oklahoma authorities say a homeless man has been found dead in a ditch near the border between Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Officials say the body of 77-year-old Donald Walser was discovered Wednesday along U.S. 64 between Sallisaw and Vian.

Sequoyah County Sheriff Ron Lockhart told KFSM-TV that it appears Walser was a drifter traveling throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Deputies found a bicycle and a tent Walser used.

According to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's office, Walser had heart disease and suffered a heart attack.

Lockhart says Walser was never married and has no known relatives, but officials plan to hold a proper burial for him in a Sequoyah County cemetery.

I have searched for 2 hours and still nothing. I will call ME and get more info to work with.

I've found a Donny Walser in the 1940 Census, born around 1933-ish in Minnesota and still living there in 1935 and 1940. Siblings and parents listed.

ETA: Never mind, this Donny Walser died as a child shortly after the census.

The claimus link no longer works. Hopefully that means he's been claimed.
