Paterno's Will To Be Made Public

The Associated Press
BELLEFONTE -- Joe Paterno's family has released his will.
The documents released by the family to The Associated Press include the original seven-page will filed in 1997 that left his personal property to his wife, Sue.
The Penn State football coach died in January at age 85.
The (Wilkes-Barre) Citizen's Voice reported Sunday that Paterno's will had been sealed in Centre County court.
The family said in a statement Thursday it had done so to maintain privacy for the Paternos. They added they were now making it public to "ensure maximum transparency and eliminate unfounded speculation."
The statement said the family would also file a motion to unseal future filings.

Unfounded speculation - now this is funny. What a turn around in 96 hours. There must have been A LOT of UNFOUNDED SPECULATION.

I guess that is what Paterno thought about his former Coach Sandusky-- there was UNFOUNDED SPECULATION from 1998 to 2012.

Yes, just a whole bunch of UNFOUNDED SPECULATION going on up there in Happy Valley. Disgusting.

I have a question, well 2 regarding Sarge...

Wasn't she a foster parent?

Aren't foster parents mandated reporters?

Hmmm, I always thought foster parents were.

I'm sure it was heavily implied when we were becoming certified...

Well, you can look at the statute. At best, it is a stretch and, at worst, she isn't required to report. Now, the next section permits anyone to report, and that would include a foster parent, or anyone else.

Okay, one of the victims talked about appearing before a new set of grand jurors (Insession.)

There was some change in grand juries, at least in composition. That jibs with something Arnold said.

I was reading the comments at the link and it seems alot of commentors feel Sarge shares guilt in the abuse allegations. I wil ltry to reserve judgement until she testifies.

I am very curious about what she says and hope the AG asks questions on cross like, "When Jerry brought these boys to your home for sleepovers, what was the routine from the moment they walked in the door until they left?" "Did Jerry give a reason for spending time alone in the basement with the boys so that you didn't check in, like Jer was 'mentoring' the child or practicing wrestling moves and didn't want to be disturbed?" "Where were your children during these times?" "Did Jer tuck the visiting child in at bedtime after you had retired upstairs?" "How noisy was your household during this time?" "How often did your own adopted children and foster children entertain friends in the basement of your home?" "Did you check on them during sleepovers?" "Did your children and second Mile children sleep in the basement together during these sleepovers?" "Were any second ile kids allowed to sleepover in any of your children's rooms?" "Did your husbands behavior ever cause suspicion on your part?" "Can you give an estimate of how many times per year you and your husband were sexually intimate?" (Then I would ask abou the waterbed sheets but won't be graphic here)

These are just some questions I would fire off at this lady on cross (if she testifies) because I think I could put on a lady lawyering suit and a pair of pumps, reword the questions and trip this woman up.

I just want to know everything about this woman and how/why she is ignorant of the abuse that allegedly occured in her own basement.

Just now getting back to this forum but have following the case closely. A friend of mine who lives in Bellefonte and has access to the case says they recessed for today because of the anual Bellefonte Cruise scheduled for this evening. Sounds strange, but that Cruise is a big deal and people come from all over PA - wasn't enough room in that poor little town for the trial AND the cruise.

To add to your questions to Sarge it would be interesting for her to be asked WHY after Coach Jerry was fired as the heir apparent they never left/moved Penn State? Why did he tell his wife he was not going to be the next head coach or in fact any kind of coach at Penn State?

From where (Second Mile?) did the Sandusky's derive their income and health benefits? (Did Penn State continue to support Sandusky financially)?

Was her husband every able to obtain another coaching job to her knowledge and if not why not and if yes where and why didn't he take it?

Guessing here that Sandusky didn't want to leave his supply of young boys provided by his association with Second Mile.

He retired and it was part of his retirement package. He was not fired. The story was that he wouldn't be head coach because he was spending too much time with Second Mile.

Retirement benefits and TSM.

He had interviewed for one other coaching job, but didn't get it. He said he wanted to devote his like to charity after that.

Can't find this anywhere and would appreciate any help. Mandy Musser, the front office mgr at Hilton who gave JS the key--any reporters saying that she was asked WHY she did so? And if asked, what her answer was?

Thanks JJ and I understand these are the 'pubic' responses. But between a husband and wife there must have been some discussions. Oops on the firing.........hard to imagine he could be permitted to 'retire' and receive compensation and benefits.

Wonder what Dottie's explanation of life was like after Sandusky retired.

It seems Penn State is very very generous with taxpayer money. Particularly with the knowledge they wanted to be "humane" to Sandusky.

Thinking a lot about "Sarge" this morning, and not with sympathy in my heart.

I thought I'd review a little bit:

Watch the outrageous footage in this new item! That Sandusky woman drove like a bat outta h*ll right towards the reporter!! (this happened in February)

The images below: Dottie, Winter 2011/2012, Dottie 2007, probably sometime in between, Dottie posting the Ticklemonster's bail, what I imagine is Dottie behind the camera working on the appearances of things.

Mandy Musser indicated that she was "advised" to give JS that key for hotel pool/gym area. Her boss is Greg Rowell, gen mgr of that inn since at least Oct, 2007 (I haven't looked farther back).

But the reporting is so conflicting, did MM make that decision herself? Or did someone else tell her to do it?

And, is Greg Rowell the same Greg Rowell who is related to L.J.("Bud") Rowell? Bud was on PSU's Board of Trustees a long time. Played football himself at PSU. Endowed a football scholarship there. He and his wife were Second Mile donors every year that I can find a TSM annual report for.

Bud also on Board at Hershey Medical. Bud secured Paterno as a speaker at some big to-do. Bud has bucks, influence. That's why I want to know if Greg is his son/otherwise related.

Thanks for any help. Link showing Greg and Mandy at Hilton Inn:

Sandusky Trial: Judge Grants Defense's Request for Expert Testimony
by Laura Nichols on June 15, 2012 3:10 PM

http://www.statecollege.com/news/lo...efenses-request-for-expert-testimony-1068142/

Judge Cleland granted Sandusky lawyer Joe Amendola's request to allow expert testimony in an attempt to provide evidence of the former assistant coach's histrionic personality disorder.

In a one-page document filed Friday, Cleland granted the defense's request and required that Sandusky make himself available to the Commonwealth so the prosecution can prepare an appropriate rebuttal during cross-examination.
