Thank you for joining Websleuths! :welcome3:

Please remember the following when discussing the Allison Baden-Clay case:
Websleuths is a moderated forum. We strive to discuss cases in a friendly environment.

Our rules can be reviewed here: The Rules (PLEASE make sure you know the rules!)

Currently, we are considering Allison's husband to be a suspected person of interest in this case. There is a possible second party involved per MSM and it is okay to discuss that aspect, but please refrain from accusing anyone of murder at this juncture. Speculating is one thing, accusing is another.

We have a detailed, formal Terms of Service (TOS) posted separately, and that TOS is what you will be held to as a member here. It's long and detailed because it has to be in the world we live in, and you are expected to read it, understand it and abide by it. However, we can sum it up as follows:

1) Be a decent human being;
2) Treat your fellow posters as the decent human beings they are;
3) Keep in mind that whatever you post will likely live on forever, so think before you press "Submit Reply".
4) It's a big world. People will disagree with you. You will disagree with them. This can be done with respect, and that's what we expect.

so this morning GBC will appear via video link and hear that he has been charged - is that what this 'mention' is ?

I think Dr Watson mentioned Ugly Creek or was it prior to that?

Yup - I mentioned Ugly Creek, as well as the possibility that she was washed down to her final position. You may recall the post where I mentioned that sharp bend that Kholo Creek takes just before the bridge, and that an object such as a body would have been washed to the outside radius of that bend - which is the side of the creek Allison was found.

If she had been dropped off the bridge, despite the fact that she was either unconscious or dead, I would expect there to have been at least a few broken bones showing up on the XRays and CT scans. It would be feasible that she may have landed in the water if the tide was high, or into soft mud, and being totally relaxed (like a drunk who falls over and doesn't break anything) there could be no broken bones.

But as as already been said by those who went there, that is a decent drop and from the bodies and patients I've seen who have had similar falls, there have been broken arms or legs, neck, spine, and pelvis. And of course skull if landing head first or horizontal then the head slams back.

But - with soft ground or water, it would be possible for there to have been no fractures.

But I'm still in the "washed down to her final position" camp.

Pretty much. Also, the magistrate will establish if there is enough to continue with the case against him. IMO.

A truly heartfelt thanks to the people to make websleuths possible and for all the extra help they give to us posters in going the extra mile to accomodate all our aussie eccentricities and for recognising the benefit of the good that comes from posters telling their stories of their wonderful and sometimes not so wonderful life experiences. It makes the world a smaller place and allows us to reach out to friends everywhere!

Thanks Sosueme, SummerBreeze, Kimster and all the others that have helped us steer along in our journey for justice for Allison!

I know I am humbled and grateful to be able to post amongst such a warm and giving bunch of people!

:sunshine:

I'm outside the magistrates court. No real hope of anything new. Just want to get a personal feel for the court system.

Doc, this was my thought yesterday when initally we believed her body to be found higher up (the high tide threw us off at first) its maybe a couple of metres only at the start of bridge and I said just what you did, drunks go all floppy and as a result don't get hurt as much! But after a lengthy discussion, it seemed that, unless she was rolled off close. To the road part/start of bridge, the distance quiclky becomes 5(maybe) or 6 metres, and you would think definite broken bones

I don't know which thread to go to...Aaahhh...
