The pediatrician accused of child molestation and child *advertiser censored* possession told Metro Police that one of his victims was a local boy he had met through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada, according to the arrest report.
Dr. David Glenn Evans, 32, a resident at the University of Nevada School of Medicine since the summer, worked at University Medical Center and Sunrise Hospital, but police have not uncovered any evidence linking him to any children he met through his job.
Evans was charged Friday with a total of 61 felonies, including six counts of sexually assaulting a minor, 10 counts of lewdness with a minor and 40 counts of child *advertiser censored* possession. He was scheduled to appear in court this morning.
If found guilty as charged, Evans could be sentenced to life in prison.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada released a statement Monday saying Evans was thoroughly screened before being accepted as a Big Brother and the organization has "zero tolerance for abuse."
